Pagegoat (“we”, “us”) is operated by an individual developer based in India. There is no registered company behind it yet, and we'd rather tell you that than imply otherwise. We have no office address to publish and no phone line. Email is the only way to reach us, at support@pagegoat.com.

By creating an account or using pagegoat.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the service.

You upload static files (a single HTML page, or a ZIP containing one) and we serve them at a URL under pagegoat.com. Around that, you get versioning, per-site access control, comments pinned to the page, projects for grouping sites, teammate seats, and an API with keys for doing all of it programmatically.

It is a hosting service for static files. It doesn't run server-side code, databases or background jobs on your behalf.

You sign in with an email address and a password, or with a Google account. Signing in by a link emailed to you is not available at the moment. Single sign-on through your employer's identity provider is offered only where we have set it up for your organisation.

Your password is what protects your account, so keep it to yourself and don't reuse it elsewhere. If you sign in with Google, whoever controls that Google account can sign in as you.

API keys act as you. Anyone holding one can do whatever its scopes allow, and we can't distinguish that from you doing it. Treat a key like a password, don't commit it, and revoke it from your account if it leaks.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Prices are listed in US dollars on our plans page, which is the list price of record. Where we publish a price in your local currency it is shown for convenience and is the amount you will be charged; the payment provider confirms it before you pay. Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel.

Dodo Payments is the merchant of record for every purchase. They take the payment, handle tax, and issue receipts; your card details never reach us. Checkout, card changes, cancellations and plan switches all happen on their pages, and what you're charged in your own currency is settled there at their rates and shown to you before you confirm.

Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged pro rata. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal date. Nothing is charged or refunded when you schedule one, and you keep your current plan until then.

Refunds: you can cancel at any time to stop future charges, and your plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund payments already made, except where your local law requires it. If a charge looks wrong, email us and we'll look into it.

If a payment fails: your sites carry on being served for a three-day grace period. A card that expires over a weekend shouldn't take your site down before you've had the chance to fix it, so pay inside that window and nothing goes down at all.

After three days the sites stop being served — to visitors and to you — because hosting is the thing the plan pays for. Nothing is deleted automatically. Your sites stay listed in your dashboard, where you can still rename them, change who they are shared with, or delete them, and they are served again within moments of the subscription being paid. What you cannot do while the plan is unpaid is publish a new site or re-upload an existing one. There is no later date at which they quietly come back: they stay dark until you renew.

Dodo takes the payment, so notice of a failed or retried charge comes from them; we don't send a separate email of our own, and we'd rather say that than have you wait for one.

A free account has no storage allowance, so it cannot publish a site. What it can do is view, comment on, and help manage sites other people share with you. That's deliberate, and we say it on the pricing page rather than after you sign up.

Your files stay yours. You give us permission to store them, extract them from an archive, transform them where needed to serve them, and deliver them to whoever you have made them available to. That permission exists so we can run the service, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.

You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, including anything owned by a client or a third party.

Each site is private, password-protected, or public.

A public site is genuinely public. Anyone with the URL can open it, without signing in, and search engines may index it. The “hide from search” setting asks crawlers not to list it. It is a listing preference, not a security control, and it does not make a public site private.

Password protection is a gate on a URL, suitable for keeping casual visitors out of a draft. Don't use it for anything whose disclosure would genuinely harm you.

Running the service means we can technically access your files. We look only when we need to: to fix a fault, or to act on a report under the section below.

Don't use Pagegoat to host or do any of the following:

• Malware, phishing pages, or anything designed to deceive or compromise people.
• Content that is illegal where you or your visitors are, including material that sexually exploits children.
• Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
• Spam, scam pages, or redirect chains for either.
• Cryptocurrency miners, or anything else that runs work in a visitor's browser without their knowledge.
• Using site storage as a general file locker, backup target or media CDN. This is a host for sites you publish, not for arbitrary bulk storage.
• Working around plan limits with multiple accounts, or hammering the API in a way that degrades the service for others.

We can remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules: immediately and without notice where the content is seriously harmful or illegal, and otherwise after telling you what the problem is.

If you believe something hosted here infringes your rights, email support@pagegoat.com with the URL and enough detail to identify the material and your claim. We'll look into it.

Each paid plan comes with a storage allowance. If you go over it, your existing sites keep serving normally. You just can't upload anything new until you free up space or move up a plan.

Version history is a deploy log, not a backup. We record what was published and when, but we only keep the bytes of the current version. Keep your own copy of anything you can't recreate.

Bandwidth is fair use. Nothing in pagegoat counts page views, so we publish no figure and enforce no cap. If a site ever generates enough traffic to cause a problem, we'll contact you before taking any action.

The service is provided as is. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features.

Self-serve plans carry no uptime commitment or SLA. Where an Enterprise agreement includes support or availability terms, those are set out in that agreement and apply only to it.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, or lost or corrupted data.

Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, or at nothing if you have paid us nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You are responsible for what you publish, and you'll cover us for third-party claims arising from your content or your breach of these terms.

You can stop using Pagegoat and delete your account at any time, from Settings. Deleting an account removes it, every site you own and the files behind them, straight away and for good — so export anything you want to keep first. Cancel your subscription before you delete, so you aren't charged again; cancelling stops future charges and your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for.

We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that we're required to act on. Except where content is seriously harmful or illegal, we'll give you notice and a reasonable chance to export your files first.

We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we'll tell account holders by email before a change that materially reduces what they get. Carrying on using the service after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
